ok got my mortgage approval yesterday.

before people start ranting, the missus and i have no debts and a large deposit.

Trying to work out the budget for when we find somewhere we like

Outgoing will be:
Mortgage
Gas / Water / electric
Phone / TV
Life insurance
Home & Contents.
Council Tax
Food
TV licence

have i missed anything major

Im ignoring things like white goods and wardrobes etc, as they are one off purchases, what im focusing is the budget after we ahve settled.

If it's a flat you are going for then there might be a factor fee to pay. The fee's vary a lot, but it tends to be either a monthly charge or possibly every quarter.

My factor covers the building insurance, so me and the missus just needed to get contents cover.

Another thing could be parking if you have a car. If you are on a street with no private parking you might have to pay for a parking permit from the council.

nah its a housewith no residents parking.
