Apparently Arnolds appearence in the movie is having his face cgi grafted onto Roland Kickinger's body, that was always known but supposodly it looks really bad. Quote from imdb.

Are you telling me that's the best they can come up with. He looked like the Rock from Mummy 2. It was that bad. I betya this, if Cameron saw that, he would have left Arnold out of it. That's why McG is a hack. He only put Arnold in the movie, to save his bad film.

Oh dear :( Some mixed opinions about the quality of the cgi, some saying it looked crap others that it was like taking arnold from T2 and having him put into this movie.

The problem is - even knowing all that, will it stop a lot of people from watching it? I think not...

ps3ud0

i just been to see it. I am still 50/50 plot holes you could drive a double decker through and many innacuracies from the first 2 but i still really enjoyed it. The last 20mins were very iffy though and the begining went on too long.

Appart from him having a wife very little came from T3.

Sounds like a complete failure.

****SPOILERS****

Apparently, the Terminators do very little "terminating", instead capturing humans. There's the rating for you.

Also, their grand plan is capturing Kyle Reese to use him as bait to lure out John Connor. Why not just kill Reese and stop Connor from ever existing?!?!?!?

Yep not much terminating. The T800 at the end was just throwing Conner around. Not the ruthless style from the first film :(

Rated 12 in the UK. It's hardly gonna fail given the makers wimped out and make a family movie out of something that started out as an R/18 rated film.

Sorry, I meant fail as part of the terminator series. It will obviously make a lot of money.

Will give it a chance anyway, has to be seen.

PG-13 rated

Seriously? What the .....???

How the hell do you go from awesome bloody violence and body counts, to no death and a bit of destruction? Screw you Hollywood.

[edit] The scene that killed the films for me from the last one: Arnie walks out of the cemetery with a coffin on his shoulder, and shoot everything up, then it cuts to 'Arnievision' and has "Bodycount: 0" flashing up. whilst showing all the police not dead and slowly getting back up. That was the death of the films for me.

???????

You must have hated T2 then.

Is knowing the previous Terminator series needed for watching this one? Not a fan of the series as such, just like them. Not seen T3 even.

I never read movie reviews anymore. It seems like most films I hear have had bad reviews are actually pretty good in the end. I'll still be going to see Terminator Salvation - looks awesome, and anything with Christian Bale is usually pretty cool anyway :p
