Anyone care to photoshop me some wheels please?

Mmmm. I remember seeing that in PFC a couple of years ago. I love it.

Ooh are you getting rid of the 328? or keeping a 205 on the side as well?

I'm sure you'll love the go-cart like experience! Graphite is definitely the best colour! :D I'd love a 1.9 but I wanted one in good condition and with low miles and the money I had didn't stretch that far.

It's my brother's, he blew the engine about 4 years ago, got the head and everything redone, but hasn't bothered to put it back together, so in a couple of weeks I'm going to rebuild it (probably with the help of -westy-) and get it back on the road. Unfortuantely I can't just have the car once it's done, due to him being stubborn and the cost of the head work being about £400 he won't give it to me...so I need to find some money. :p

So I'll be keeping the 328i as my car, and if I can get the 205 off my brother it'll be a toy and track car. :D

I've driven a black 1.9 my brother had, brilliant cars, handling is excellent, I've grown up around them so know what they are like, and had a 1.4XR myself as my previous car...not as good handling at all, but still great fun.

I'm sure you already have but if not get over to 205gtidrivers.com

I am already over there, signed up when I got the XR ages ago. :)

EDIT: Redone wheels...

...due to the flash the wheels look far shinier than they actually are I'm sure. Which makes it a pain to adjust the levels to get it looking right. But they could]/i] be too dark I have to agree.

Yeh, I'm being forced to run another car as a daily now as my 106 is being a pain. Decided to just keep it as a toy now and not use it everyday, so can go a bit more hardcore with some tasty mods in the near future.

First on the list is a new quaife diff and box rebuild. :)

Can't wait to get it back on the road. :D

I'm sure a 205 gti will be bags of fun, such great handling little cars, just a shame a few of the components appear to be made from chocolate.

Belt snapped on that one, about half a mile from home on his way back from work...he was gutted. :p

One of the things I don't like about 205s is they are so flimsy, I mean I scraped my XR against a van at like 5mph and created loads of mess, and the van was practically fine. :(

Yeah same is true for 106's they don't hold up so well in crash situations it has to be said, can only imagine the 205's being the same if not slightly worse. Its quite worrying really. A roll cage is at the top of my list after I get the gearbox sorted.

If I can get the 205 off my brother I'd like to cage etc. it, but I also want to keep it as an unmolested example, because it's great as it is...well, was. :p

I'll probably create a thread when I get started on it though, so watch this space. :)
