Hi there.

Was wondering. Does anyone know about camping and can advise on how to plan one. I duno if the family wants to go but if i can make a start with some plans they might turn to the idea.

Got me (27), bro (36), sis with her 2 kids (26/7/3) mum (61).

What kinda tents u reckon.

Whats the minimum stuff to take and what to take.

Anyone know any nice places to go camping thats got some good nature places but has also onsite facilities.

Cheap if poss hence the camping idea hehe. Hmm duno what else i should put in this post if i missed somit im sure you peeps will help me out. :)

Not just for the kids, (both girls btw) i fancy a nature holiday seeing wildlife and some nice walks and stuff, a nice river for fishing possibly would be awesome too. I was thinking of getting one of them camping activity guides thats like cubs or somit where we can teach them stuff of the outdoors, tho i duno if they would be bothered or not.

Edit - Hmm took a gander at that place you mentioned. There seem to be cheap holidays. Will have a talk with family about it. See what they say. Cheers. :)

There is a nice campsite on the Gower coast - Nichlaston Farm, right off Oxwich bay.
We did a few days there last year and are going back again for a week this year.

18 quid a night for a family of 4 plus tent, nice shower and toilet block and a cafe on site that does cracking food and sells fresh fruit and veg from the farm.

Lots of walking available, cracking views and a lovely beach - if the rumours of a nice summe are coming true its going to be a good one :)

going eurocamp this year for the first time £300 all in with missus and nipper..ferry's etc for 10days, mmmm cheap red wine ***

I think ill have to pick accomodation due to me mums age and bro is starting to want comfort on his hols. What are the places to avoid in eurocamps locations sections so i know which to avoid.

I wouldn't say there's anywhere to avoid. All the camps are fairly nice, you can get a decent indication of the camp from the Eurocamp website. When I went it was in the Black Forest in Germany, weather was nice and was 15 minutes from Europa Park (largest theme park in Europe) and a short drive from Freiburg.
