My car + Car insurance - is it worth it?? What happens if i cancel the ins??

I would love to research the statistics and profits behind all of this but if people didn't lie or make fraudulent claims I'm pretty sure our quotes would be MUCH lower. Not only that but genuine claims would be processed and sorted much quicker too. Ministry of the obvious I know :D

So making fraudulent claims screws everyone over in the long run, I can't believe people still do it even with the disincentive of losing their NCB.
 
people crash there cars on purpose cus they can make more money in the long run. jus get sum1 to pull out on u. declare ur car a rite off, have a nice courtesy car for a few months. get money for ur old car and then repair/sell it..

How would that be mutually beneficial to both parties? How would you find someone mad enough to take part? Why would you want to write a car off on purpose? Seriously dude you are on something.
 
trust me ppl do it. the other guy benefits too from whiplashes for his passengers.. jus go halfs with em if ur the driver, worth it if u got a crap car. yeah i know bad for insurance but can work out.
 
Whilst his comment does seem daft, I'm sure it's something that hasn't passed the mind of professional fraudsters.

If you were caught doing that you would get in serious trouble.

No because I am not stupid enough to endanger my friends, I don't want to smash my car up and my premiums would probably double after a claim like that. If that makes me an idiot then so be it.

Don't think they'd be intelligent enough to see the funny side!

I do remember reading about gangs in Manchester who were doing something like this. They were de-wiring their break lights, and then putting in whiplash claims for all their passengers when someone rear ended them. Similar sort of thing, although at least that's actually kind of cunning.

can get sumthin nicer if u say u got a family, need a bigger car. u can blag it. then keep it for ages too..
