Considering the man has already done a complete u-turn on several of the key policies which got him into office, I'm not sure that stating your case by calling people tards is a particularly persuasive argument.

Agree! I don't mean this to sound flippant- the risk of assasination / total failure would be massive if he came in and completely changed everything. So even if he's weakening his pre-election pledges he'll still move the country in the direction he said he would- just slowly. Has there ever been a leader (in a stable democratic country) that hasn't had to make compromises?

Also, on this specific issue I guess that now he is the president he has a lot more information available about what risks are really out there.

Rather alarmist, don't you think, though sadly there's at least some truth to it - usually the result of ill-informed members of the public or officers making up the law as they go along, rather than a "police state".

Anyway, same old same old. I'd be more worried if these threads didn't appear every other day. Now that would be some conspiracy.

PS - To answer the OP, yes, more of the same. Show me a politician that doesn't offer more of the same and I'll show you either a very misguided individual or an unelectable wannabe.

Every president since JFk has been a puppet for wall street. Nothing new there.
