Download Festival '09

This, with a bit of grumbling that most the bands i recognise have all since past it a bit from when i was about 14.
Ah well i can still be grumbly for missing out on the spanish festival at the end of this week (thanks to well placed uni exams...)

This pretty much sums up Download even if the line up is pretty decent.
I am however off to Graspop this year which should be immense.

Me and shauncr91 are going down on the Wednesday and joining up with camp loner \m/.
Can't wait to see limp bizkit / Slipknot / KoRn / Trivium / ZZ Top / Lacuna Coil. After listening them all for years and never having seen them live, what better place.
And to catch some stuff i havent previously looked into, faith no more / def leppard etc.
Going to be a huge laugh and my first festival ^_^.

Bah, I wanted to go, but I left it too late to get a weekend camping ticket and now they're all sold out. I'm such an idiot.
Anyone know of anyone with a spare one or somewhere they're still reasonably priced?

This festival has got me all hyped up and krazy "Festval Madness" I'm calling it.
That link is a bit iffy, for some reason IE wanted me to download the article rather than open it.
I'm tempted to go for the Sunday, as the line up just doesnt grab me for the whole weekend. Besides, a whole 3 days of not really knowing anybody else going might be a bit too much!

27 new bands...and I haven't heard of one of them! Probably all for the stage4, small stage thats been mentioned recently. Im looking forward to some of the bigger bands (as I'm going) think I'm after about 10-15 bands, which I can justify the cost of the ticket for, and will look into some smaller bands.
Keeping an eye out in the hope there'll be some tickets come down closer to the time as people realise they just need to flog em quick, as my brother put his ticket off too long because of the family being absolute PITA for him, and now it's sold out.
Yeah, there's a lot of annoying XYZ-type people there these days at Download, but its still worth going to me as I always have a massive amount of fun, and its a chance for me to get together for a decent laugh with some of my older mates I don't get a chance to see much anymore for various reasons, and if you can find a good area, the general campsite can actually be a lot of fun too. Generally feels reasonably friendly too.
...Will probably be watching M.C instead of F'N'M as Im not a fan, and I missed M.C last time.
