Russian Dog Experiment (Video is fake)

the video's fake? that's a real dog surely?

B@

No, they switch the dog if you look carefully. First dog is the dog they tried the experiments on and the second one is used to fake the experiments. The dog was drugged and a hole was made in the table for its head. Notice the fur round the second dogs neck hiding the apparatus?

If this was real, they'd sure as hell use more than one camera angle to show off their amazing discovery. If you search for the other experiment they did on the two head dog however, you'll find that to be real.

the fact that people are sick enough to dream up and carry out experiments like this is exactly why i have no faith in humanity

Its a necessary evil. How do you think we came about todays modern medicine and life saving surgeries. They all had to be experimented on something or somebody.

i'm not a fan of any evil ;)

oh, by they way, some of the experiments conducted in concentration camps under the nazi regime (iirc those specifically involving high altitude and whether to slowly or quickly warm someone who's been in freezing conditions) have contributed to science and the saving of lives across the world. were the concentration camps a necessary evil?

i hate to invoke it, but surely the slippery slope rule is applicable to things like this? we're only one step away from monstrosities.

The things they did in those camps were brutal and wrong. What they learned has been for the better good though. I would never be for experimenting on humans. Unless that person agreed to be experimented on.

It's not very nice, but through experiments like this, doctors and scientists have built up knowledge of how a mammallian body works. This knowledge saves millions of lives a year.

so you agree that the concentration camps were a necessary evil?

That question is completely out of context. We all KNOW that the WWII Concentration camps were not necessary at all. What Robert1986 has said is that we have gained as a byproduct of those evil actions.
Stop baiting him like you do in Console Games & Hardware.

I know the OP posted it as fake, but seriously. A severed head, with no neck musculature, would not be able to move  I hope to hell that nobody really believes that.

/thread.

Yes, it is horrible, and it is cruel on the animals. However in some situations it's still necessary for the greater good of being able to treat/cure humans. Not ideal, but something I quite easily live with to be honest.

I hate seeing dogs treated this way having had dogs as family pets for the vast majority of my life.

However, is this really any worse than keeping cows/sheep/chickens/pigs and butchering them for food?
