I've currently got 18s on the Boxster however I'm considering changing them for 19s. The obvious choice is Carrera Classics but I'm just exploring alternatives at the moment.

I'd love Techart ones but they'll cost me the best part of £4k so I'll save them for when I've got my 997 perhaps.

So, can you name any good brands of aftermarket alloys that are up to Porsche OEM quality and not some Chinese rubbish that weigh a tonne.

BBS LM

Anything but OEM upgrades or BBS on German cars just looks wrong IMO.

Downside with that is you'll end up with parting 4K either way!

i was going to post those OZs, but they don't look all that great on the boxster. well, not in silver anyway

i'd go with something from BBS - LM, (AIR II) CK, RX II..

Go for the porsche sportdesign multispokes, really suit the car. Carrera S II wheels looks great in the flesh, and the Carrera Sport wheels arent bad either.

I think those superleggera's look great. Other than those BBS have a few options for you. Nothing else jumps to mind if I'm honest.

EDIT- I quite rate Kahn alloys but not sure they would suit the boxster? Maybe the RSC 2 piece ones would?

However you do it, its going to cost a fortune. Picking wheels for a 'prestige' car is always very difficult because your standard reaosnably priced aftermarket wheels just look completely out of place on them, so you need to go for either OEM wheels (not fake replica junk) or quality aftermarket stuff like BBS, Techart, which in genuine form unfortunately carries the sort of pricetag that indicates its aimed at your average £50k+ car owner.

Yup I have to agree, if you're buying new then it's going to cost whatever you get as anything half decent will be a few pennies :)
