Hello,

Well sold my gaming PC way back in early 2006, just after the lauch of the Xbox 360 i think it was. Reason why i sold my gaming PC to fund the 360 purchase.

Been out of PC gaming for a few years, what have i missed ???

All i have is steam with Half Life 2 and CS: Source :p

What can u recommend to try on my new laptop ? only ones that spring to mind are DOOM 3, STALKER and Far Cry 2.

Its a fairly powerful laptop Intel Core 2 duo 2.13Ghz, 4Gb RAM and NVIDIA 9600GT 1GB

I know it wont run everything, but i am guessing games that are a few years old should run fine. Half Life 2 and CS: Source run really smooth.

Cheers Ben :)

Depends what you're into really

The Witcher for your RPG's (unless you've already played Mass Effect on the 360)
Crysis for your FPS and Orange Box.
Dawn of War II/Company of heroes for your RTS
War/Lotro for your MMO

I've been out of the PC section for a while really as well, I'd hop straight back as soon as achievements become mainstream and they all become Games for windows live.

Cannot recommend STALKER enough - playing through it again at the moment. Can be had for ~£13 off steam. If you do decide to purchase, search for a thread in this section called stalker complete mod or something - brings the games graphics up to date (pretty much) with today's games and adds loads of new features.

Still easily the most immersive game I've ever played.

Personally wouldn't bother with Stalker - bored me to hell - I only played the vanilla first one but the gun shots were rubbish, the area was rubbish (basically if it didn't want you to go somewhere then the dreaded radiation came out), and generally was bored of it in minutes.

Dead Space (RPG/Horror)
Mass Effect (RPG)
CoD 4: Modern Warfare (FPS)

Should keep you busy for a few days!

Those are already on the 360, I think he wants some PC exclusives that he's missed over the years.

Ninja Edit! If we keep quiet no-one will know!

Chronicles of Riddick: Athena was great and is two games in one
Wanted: Weapons of Fate was short but entertaining
