keep coming back to ocuk

I personally havent noticed OCUK being more expensive, prices flux. I've been loyal in all but one of my builds =p

However, theres NOT ONE site to compare that has such strong community backing and good service.

OCUK fanclub =]

OcUK has generally been marginally more expensive than competitors since day 1, however i always shopped here, can't figure out why. However now they've introduced free shipping to us forum goers it's removed most of the price difference (and for small purchases it often ends up being cheaper) so now i have a reason to continue to shop here other than being lazy :p

I've found a few things are a little cheaper elsewhere and some things are a bit cheaper here, it tends to balance out roughly, and I've never had a problem with OcUK so far so no reason to change :)

Probably due an upgrade in the next few months so I'm expecting most, if not all will be from here as always. And then there's the free postage which has encouraged a few impulse buys too :o

I'll be honest. This obviously doesnt affect online orders but, sometimes I am reluctant to buy direct from the shop compared to other local competitors.

If I buy a stick of memory direct from the shop, and it is faulty. If I try to return it the same day, I won't see a replacement for at least a few days while testing is conducted?

I've had mixed experiences. More often than not items turned up promptly and working fine. On more than one occasion, however, I've had faulty items and returning has been a nightmare. I change where I buy all the time.

Free shipping is a nice touch, a good example was last thursday, i ordered a usb stick with free delivery, delivery date was listed as yesterday, i actually received the item on saturday, great service considering im in n. ireland.:)

I pretty much always look at a uk deals website everyday for prices and it's extremely rare to see OCuk deals on there. I've never had a bad experience with ocuk and have bought most of my builds from them but judging from the comments on deals websites the improvements made lately in customer services have been long overdue.

As I said all my builds have been Ocuk parts and all Items have been servicable. So it's hard for me to judge because it's when you have a problem and how quickly it's sorted that determine how good a supplier is.

Hopefully I will never find out :D

I started using ocuk when my old regular supplier turned out to be woefull with RMA's.

I had two dodgy icybox enclosures (reading around it seems that model is faulty, whoops). Both times i received a RMA number within a couple of hours and got my replacement within a week of posting it. As usual, 3rd time was the charm, but as i had paid £20 for the enclosure and £11 for postage to return the item twice i emailed to ask ocuk if they could give me some form of discount for my troubles. They refunded me all of the return postage costs without debating the matter at all.

I have heard the ocuk RMA horror stories but i've either been very lucky twice or they have improved their customer services immensely.

Over the past couple of years their customer service has increased exponentially. Used to have bad reputation, (though I personally have never had any problems with), but that was about 5 years ago, all changed now :)

Personally I always use OCUK, yes they can be marginally more expensive but

1) Free Shipping
2) The forums
3) I love their website, I find it so much easier to build / config systems and find what i'm looking for. On other ones you have all sorts of search filters etc and I find them slow, fidderly and annoying.

Pretty much sums up why i love ocuk :)

OCUK is slightly more expensive than some, but for the small orders I usually place, the free shipping usually makes it slightly cheaper.

There's also a bit of laziness too - I have OCUK bookmarked because of the forum but I don't have competitors bookmarked. :p

The forums and the website itself are also big factors for me too Edward. As i said previously i'm incredibly lazy so to just click between the forums and the website when i'm upgrading/asking for advice on said upgrade it is very appealing.

I have recently decided that the functionality of a website is far more important than i previously believed. My favourite computer games retailer has recently redone their website and it is TERRIBLE. Totally overrun with unneeded java applets, poorly placed buttons and a search bar that dissappears if you mouse over one of the buttons above it (anyone who uses that site will know what i mean, SO ANNOYING!). As a result i never browse their website any more, sure i still buy nearly everything there, but as i use other sites for browsing to see what games interest me now, so if i see something cheaper there they've lost a sale all because of a rubbish site.

Guess i'm saying this as i wouldn't be surprised if OcUK are thinking of reworking their website in the not too distant future to fit the new logo better. Remember, function over form!

OcUK is the best. Thats not me brown-nosing. Its fact.

Just the other day there was a problem with something I ordered. Got in contact with someone through the Customer Service section of the forum and had a 1 on 1 with someone who could help me! Brilliant! and now Free Shipping (FOR ONLY FORUM USERS :D) makes it just sheer perfection.

I've not had any problems with all my orders - always been a happy customer so far , and free shipping usually makes it cheaper so end up ordering from here whenever I need something

This forum is a big plus for OCUK. Not only are there some very helpful users on here who can answer just about anything but a good load of the OCUK emplyees/managers/owner(s) post on here on a regular basis. This I am sure plays a big part in the brand loyalty that a lot of us feel here. I may have a small post count compared with most here but I have purchased almost all my stuff over the last few years from here. Prices are good, but prices and some top, friendly advice is unbeatable in my eyes

I try and order from OcUK whenever possible too. If it's the sake of being a few pound more expensive than a competitor I'll buy from here just because I like the company.
I think it's the forum that does it for me, having so many of the staff post regularly on here gives a sense of connection with OcUK, making it more than just some faceless company.

Also that I've had nothing but good experiences with RMA's etc, so know I can get stuff sorted no worries should something go wrong.

:)
