What's your name on there? I've only just started on that realm.

Mainly playing alliance atm, since my horde buddy decided to give up/not go past his 10 day wotlk trial...

Rayenne - Priest 68
Fappo - DK 70
Haidebo - Hunter 70
Kuntakinte - Mage 35

I don't really play the last 3 much - cba.

Hey everyone

Any Alliance Guilds from here based on Silvermoon? I returned to the game a few months back but I am finding myself getting very bored when I log in, mainly due to being on my own and having to PuG for most of the instances which I really, really hate doing since most PuG's are terrible.

I've got a Human Priest at 80, a Night Elf Rogue at 73 and a Night Elf Druid at 53. I'm not looking for anything hardcore, I don't want to raid the big instances every night, so I am really looking for a social Guild that I can help out on things from time to time, as well as join in on smaller raids. I really enjoy both PvP and PvE so either suit my playstyle.
 
yeah i get that screen,

when i click play WOW loaded.
I enter my user name and password, but it comes up that my account is for wrath of the litch king, please install - and it offers me a link.

Having clicked on the link and downloading the installer - all that happens when clicking on the downloaded file is the above screen opens again.


Any ideas?

It should bring up a drop down box as to what you want to install. WOW, WOW:BC and WOW:WotLK

I've lvl'd my rogue to 80 and become bored with it (don't do any raiding as I don't have the time to put into it).

I'm going to carry on with my lvl 52 druid instead. Not played it for a long while and all my talents are now reset. Is feral still the build to go with for levelling? I was feral before the big patches but not sure if this is the best build. I also tend to mostly solo as I seem to be a chod magnet and end up with biffs!

No idea what the last sentence means... but yes, I'd say feral for levelling, certainly solo.
 
Whats the difference between Shaman and Paladin ? Which is more fun, more in demand, easier to solo, better for groups ?
Well I'd say Paladins are more fun for solo play, and since they can fill any role they're fine for group play. Shaman are good though and more of a challenge.

Tempted to play a caster as i've never really played on before and since i'll be soloing a bit im thinking priest so i can heal

Death Knight (3.1 Skills List / 3.1 Talent + Glyph Calc.)

* Frost Presence: Armor bonus is now 60% down from 80%.


Druid (3.1 Skills List / 3.1 Talent + Glyph Calc.)

* Improved Barkskin: This talent now also grants 80/160% additional armor while in Travel Form or not shapeshifted.
* Improved Tree of Life: The armor bonus to Tree of Life Form from this talent has been reduced to 67/133/200% bonus armor.


Hunter (3.1 Skills List / 3.1 Talent + Glyph Calc.)

* Hunter's Mark: The ranged attack power bonus from this ability has been increased from 300 to 500.
* Master Marksman: This talent now also decreases the cost of Aimed Shot and Chimera Shot by 5/10/15/20/25%.


Paladin (3.1 Skills List / 3.1 Talent + Glyph Calc.)

* Eye For An Eye: This talent now deals 5/10% of the critical strike damage taken by the paladin back at the attacker.
* Hand of Freedom: The base duration of this buff has been reduced from 10 seconds to 6 seconds.


Rogue (3.1 Skills List / 3.1 Talent + Glyph Calc.)

* Overkill: Talent redesigned. Now increases energy regeneration by 30% while stealthed, and for 20 seconds after breaking stealth.


Warlock (3.1 Skills List / 3.1 Talent + Glyph Calc.)

* Chaos Bolt: This spell no longer ignores damage reduction effects of the target.


Warrior (3.1 Skills List / 3.1 Talent + Glyph Calc.)

* Blood Frenzy: This talent now provides 5/10% haste instead of 3/6%.
* Bloodthirst: Cooldown reduced from 5 seconds to 4 seconds, and rage cost reduced from 30 rage to 20 rage.
* Juggernaut: This talent now also increases the cooldown on Charge by 5 seconds.


Items

* Death Knight PvP Gauntlets: The chance to refresh a Frost Rune when casting Chains of Ice has been removed. When equipped, these gloves now generate 5 additional runic power whenever Chains of Ice is used.


Raids & Dungeons
Ulduar - Mimiron

* The flight time of Rocket Strikes has been increased, and Rocket Strikes will try to prefer players at range.
* The Leviathan Mk II component of the V-07-TR-0N will become stunned during Phase 4 when the VX-001 component begins to cast the P3Wx2 Laser Barrage ability.
* Proximity mines now deal less damage and have a lower duration. A small arming time has also been added so proximity mines will not immediately detonate on creation.


Bug Fixes

* Druid Tier 8 Balance Set: The 4-piece bonus no longer has its effect consumed by Starfire casts in progress when it triggers. The chance for the effect to be triggered has been reduced down to 8%, as it was originally inflated to compensate.
* Ice Layered Barrier: Upgraded to item level 232. In addition, the stats in the tooltip have been correctly adjusted to 78 spell power, 48 haste rating, 16 mana per 5 seconds, 52 Intellect, and 50 Stamina.
* Pulsing Spellshield: The stats listed in the tooltip for this item were incorrect and have been adjusted. This item provides 69 spell power, 34 haste rating, 42 critical strike rating, 45 intellect, and 45 stamina.

what gives? that was the whole point in chaos bolt. I don't mid that much as i don't really PVP but thats quite a nerf to pvp destro locks.

looks like i'm dropping DK tank again, back to warrior tank... great!

Me too. Using warlock as main after I stopped with DK after they killed DW (I don't mind if the DPS was the same, but making it far worse, but 2H I don't like I figured whats the point).

Getting bored of warlock a bit because they keep changing it each patch. Removing Siphon life and the ability to cast immolate if Unstable Affliction annoyed me a tad too.

I don't wanna quit because I have a lot of friends, but if I am honest ulduar isn't that exciting for me currently.
 
Paladins are also awesome healers.

Everyone seems better than my druid at healing. I'm not sure what spellpower they have. I managed an 8K crit with HT once... I've seen lots of 11-12ks from paladins, priests and shammies.
 
Druids are awesome at healing too; just depends on the gear really. Druids won't have as huge single heal numbers, but their hots and instants more then make up for it.
 
a well played druid ( tier8.5 and tier 7.5 ) can easily rip the healing meters with minimal overhealing and AOE group healing is only a tad worse then a priests!

ur obviously doing somethign wrong or lack a lot of gear!
 
I lack a fair amount of gear. About 1.4k healing - couple of 10 man naxx things rest is blue stuff from dungeons, not a lot from heroics.
 
DK's are currently the best tank in the games pretty much, that armor nerf isn't going to change things drastically either.

Dual Wield is being worked on for the next major patch too, I don't really care though because the spec was pretty damn boring but it just happened to be good DPS at the time.
