This was pretty much his request (Different case and water cooler than he asked, as OCUK don't have them)

XFX ATI Radeon HD 4870 X2 2048MB GDDR5 TV-Out/Dual DVI/HDMI (PCI-Express) - Retail £248.99

Intel Core i7 920 D0 Stepping (SLBEJ) 2.66Ghz (Nehalem) (Socket LGA1366) -Retail £235.99

Asus P6T Deluxe v2 Intel X58 (Socket 1366) PCI-Express DDR3 Motherboard £229.99

Swiftech H2O-220 Apex Ultima Watercooling Kit - (Socket 462/478/LGA775/754/939/940/1366) £218.49

Tagan PipeRock TG1100-BZ 1100w Modular BZ Series Power Supply £195.99

Antec 1200 Twelve Hundred Ultimate Gaming Case - Black (No PSU) £137.99

Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 64-Bit - OEM (66I-01939) £89.99

2 x Corsair XMS3 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-10666C9 1333MHz Triple Channel (TR3X6G1333C9) £155.98

Comes in at £1515.

Now my first question, is is all that compatible?

My second question is how difficult is setting up Water Cooling, and if there is a better one than the one I have chosen?

And finally, why is it the people who can afford machines like this more often than not will likely never utilise a quarter of what its capable of?

Couple of optimisations:

1100W PSU is heavy overkill - this PSU should be enough for that rig with two 4870x2 cards.

As for 12GB of RAM its unnecessary and will make the system less stable. If he plans on overclocking (should be with that watercooling kit), that many RAM sticks will limit the overclock. Get 6GB of faster ram and you will get overall better performance.

A personal opinion now, I use that ASUS board, it is good but if I had the chance again, I would go for this one.
