Stronghold Kingdoms ** - the world’s first castle based MMO - **

Since I can't view game sites at work, does this have a monthly sub or is it free? If it's free then I might give it a go as it sounds like a laugh.
 
If its free (bar purchase of game ofc) then might give it a shot.

If it subby based i doubt i will bother tbh
 
I hope it is not too much like the browser games like Travian and co but it looks cool nonetheless
 
i never got to play the originals (i guess its similar to age of empires)! so, something to look forward to i guess...
 
It looks as if it is on the original Stronghold engine, so I hope to God it isn't subscription. I have enjoyed the Stronghold series and am looking forward to it being an MMO, provided it is free of course.

Reminds me of OGame, but you use a client instead of web browser.

If sign up you might get an invite as some free places on alpha server.
 
Is it just me, or is there no audio?

Also, why could I only select berkshire? I don't want to be in Berkshire! D:

Edit: Bah, this seems to basically be a Stronghold version of those browser based village building games like Travian and so on, where everything goes slowly unless you have a premium account. Also, the tutorial seems to stop at some point and just leave you to fend for yourself.

I got to select two places berkshire and another i chose the other so i think it allocates places available so areas don't get too full.

I think it is a bit better detailed and more in volving than most those browser games but then I loved the origional game. Plus you get to fully design your castle etc and village.

I think it is a good little time killer.
 
The location you select is something the game forces upon you to kinda avoid people going en-mass to one area i.e spread them out.

It is an MMO and it is free2Play but should you want you can purchase 'crowns' to buy cards or preimum status (like a subscrption) I'm playing for free no issues.

Its fun, engaging and parishes are in-game where you work together to build a better community..... well then attack :)
 
I take back some of my earlier comments, this is a pretty good game! I'm currently rank 7, in the Thatcham parish of Berkshire.

What are your cities look like so far? I have 4 woodcutters, 4 stone mines, 3 apple orchards, 3 dairy farms, 2 hovels, an inn and a brewery.
