***The Official Infamous Thread***

Got it earlier and really liking it.
I got an unexpected special edition game too so have got those gigawatt claw weapons:cool:
I'm going through as a good guy now but may go through again taking the evil path.

Only played for an hour or so and its great fun, much better than the demo eases you into the game more. Leaping about collecting the shards is very addictive ( crackdown syndrome lol) also working out the upgrades etc is going to be quite interesting. Im playing as a good guy first time through, before i go through as evil cole second time through on hard, one thing to note is after the tutorial the game auto selects the difficulty normally to hard, so you can set it down to easy if things get a bit difficult. Those who ask if they should get it just buy it now!

Nice to hear all these positive user reviews. Really does sound as though the demo has not done this game justice!

I'm a few hours in so far and it is awesome. Keep meaning to do the story missions but get sidetracked killing reapers, doing side missions and collecting shards. Playing as good too, although I have had a couple of reductions for bad tasks.

Very GTA meets Crackdown so far :)

Just taking a break for Question Time, on BBC1 at 10:40pm, and then I will get stuck back in.

Ive only got 25 out of 350 shards so far lol, got a few more to go. Think im going to do some side missions to clear up the area so i can find some more hidden stuff. Do like the territory thing (bit like GTA:SA) when you do certain missions that make the area freindly so you dont get attacked from reapers.

If you're already wanting a PS3 then I recommend getting this with your PS3.Can't recommend getting it just for the game,I couldn't say that of any game.
It is a great game however.

Valkyria Chronicles is enough to warrant a PS3 purchase however, so you'll be sorted if you get these 2 games.

Fixed :p

By that edit i think i'm trying to make the point that there are so many utterly sublime games available for the PS3, even if you don't end up liking this as much as you'd hoped, there's so many other titles to meet your expectations.

In short, if you can afford it, buy it.

Anyway, could someone confirm something for me, the game boasts about having to find power sources to power your character up, but in the demo my electric power seemed to recharge itself after it was depleted? Finding power sources, only seemed to speed up the recharge... is this correct? Or was I missing something? Basically, does your electric recharge itself at all?

Health does but as far as I can tell electricity doesn't.

I'm only a couple of hours in (just met the guy that shows you the future) and so far I am really impressed :)

I'm really enjoying this, its much better than I expected. When I realised there were territory missions I nearly cried as I didn't want to grind the game to finish it, but each of the territory missions that I have done so far (5) have all been completely different :D

But saying that the story missions seem kind of similar so far where I just seem to be restoring power grids in the sewers. Overall a great game and really well made.

My only issue is the framerate at times, sometimes it goes really smooth (mainly in the sewers) and its pure bliss then it clunks back to 30-40 FPS but I think this is expected from any game on a console these days unless its a racing one :P

If you dont mind sitting no further than a 2 feet away from the TV yeah :p

You can plug it into a USB port on anything which is powered. I play with mines plugged into my laptop so it will charge.

As for the game, it is frickin sweet, i just wish it had an 'Objectives' menu, sometimes i forget what i should be doing, or don't pay enough attension to the cut scenes :o

Is there anyway to see how many shards you have collected and other gameplay stats?

I am on the 2nd island and I think am about half way through the story.

Still a couple of powers I haven't got yet.

I spend far to much time doing side quests and just chasing shards and dead drops :p

Playing through the game as infamous atm. Might go through again as a hero just to have a dabble with the different powers.

Also for those that got a SE version and got the extra power... how do you use/unlock it ? I've redeemed the code and downloaded the blades. But I have no idea how to get them in use in the game.
