The Samsung OmniaHD i8910 ... this NEEDS it's own thread.

Haha, back on the battery topic - it most certainly feels faulty, i charged it to full last night, took it off charge before i went to bed and it was on 1 bar when i woke up 8 hours later, shocking.

Done, have to return it to orange retail where i got it from - how do i go about a hardware reset back to factory settings before i do that? Do you think they will do it on the spot?

I was looking a few other forums, and a few other people have been having battery issues, even after having good battery life from previous charges.

What a few people found, was that they had Wifi, GPS, or other internet connections running unknown in the background.
To check to see if you have any open internet connections, go to;
Menu > Settings > Connectivity > Connection mgr
If there's any internet connections running they should appear in there, I'm not sure about GPS, but I assume it will disconnect reliably when any program using it closes.

Not sure if this will help any of you, but thought it might be worth posting.

Same problem here. Fully charged before I went to bed last night. Just woke up and its on 2 bars. Will speak to orange as I think its been 8/9 days since ive had the phone!

Thanks for the code - got it reset and now gps works. Now trying to install some apps on it as Orange, in thier wisdom, has removed anything useful!

Yeah with the great OLED display it saves a lot of power combined with the 1500mh battery it is the best movie player. However when I was outside with it the display was worse than my iphone for movies - all washed-out. :(

Okay an interesting development on the battery scenario, same again i went to sleep and left it on after a full charge, difference being this time i switched it on and off first, so i wake up this morning and its on full bars still.

Interesting. Now the more interesting part is the other night when i did it, i checked facebook and MSN messenger before leaving it all night, and even though there was nothing in the connection manager i am beginning to think either wifi or the internet was on all night?

What are your thoughts? Perhaps my battery isnt faulty afterall.
