Zutons and Sugababes are on tonight...had the daytime events already - just a few fairground rides and a huge pork and apple baquette.

How was your Summer Ball?

Is this some type of imported American crap, like all these bloody Proms people keep harping on about?

What the hell happened to the good old school discos, where one could get lathered and have sex underneath the stage?

Drink all day, go home and drink and then return dressed in a suits saying bye to some mates who are graduating in a few weeks...whats so American about that?

Nah, Roehampton.

Balls can be great fun! *sniggers*

Only went to one in my second year though, don't remember much of it - I got a free bottle of champagne or something and got very drunk. I remember finishing working behind the bar, then waking up in my flat naked the next day. :D

One massive highlight of the ball I went to though was that Wheatus played Teenage Dirtbag! :D

I would've gone to my last year one, but what with the finances that year, I could barely afford to eat let alone shell out £48 to essentially dress up and forget everything! :p

We had some 'Snowball' thing around Christmas before I left too which had someone good playing (apparently) but not many people bothered going to, or so I heard.

Definitely going to make the effort when I'm next at university though. :)

Ours is on Friday, got Feeder headlining which should be pretty cool.

We had them here at the beginning of the year, my mate managed to get back stage and hang out with them. Apparently they are really laid back guys.

Organised our own get together with everyone who's leaving. Save 40quid and don't have to wear a suit that will get ruined (Y)

Summer balls are amazing. I went to one at New College, Oxford in my final year. Oxbridge ones tend to be extravagant beyond belief. I remember walking down Broad Street at 6.30am the next day necking a bottle of champagne in tails! Amazing. I'm going to a sixth form ball in a few weeks, but as a teacher. I think it will be very different to university ones.

I love summer balls. Last year was great, when I was still at Uni. I didn't like the bands playing, but we had 6 floors, a wii corner, a fairground outside, different music on each floor, free candy floss. Was good stuff. All in dinner jackets and ball dresses.
