Windows 7 hits RC stage Build 7100

Anyone know if Far Cry 1 works in Win 7 x64? I tried it in compatibility and run as admin and it won't load. Currently downloading a 480MB patch designed for XP 64, hope that'll get it working.

Got build 7137 installed and works lurvly. Also noticed than when you right click a media file there is an option to 'play to' my PCH. Works fine and I didnt have to set it up.

I'm going to install Windows 7 on my new SSD on tuesday (I hope) should I be going for build 7137?

Cyclone do you have and Punkbuster games you can try on 7137? COD4 would be great. Thanks.

These new features have been mentioned before on the net. It's fake.

Not to mention MS are not even up to a internal 7200 build, so how can they release this in less than 2 weeks.

And i like "in order to improve performance explorer has been transplaneted(wot???) in to .net framework" this is something that would take many many MONTHS to do, makes no sense, and would be utterly pointless.

Just downloaded 7100, having never used Vista or tried any of the betas I'm loving it so far, pretty much everything worked straight after install, all I needed was a driver for my HDMI capture card and the latest Nvidia drivers.

Morning chaps.

Im running Windows 7 RC 7137 on my Samsung N120 netbook (1.6Ghz Atom, 1GB DDR2, Intel integrated graphics) and have a couple of issues; first is the my mouse pointer seems to lag occasionally when using the trackpad or usb mouse. I have only noticed this when I have the Firefox 3.5 beta running, is this a known issue? I thought it maybe lagging just because of the low spec but im told it should still be pretty snappy. All drivers are up to date etc. Any ideas?

My second issue is with the dial up connection I created using Win 7 network centre for use with my O2 mobile broadband usb dongle as Windows 7 doesn't like the O2 software yet. The connect screen NEVER remembers the username and password for my account meaning I have to manually input the details whenever I connect. Obviously I tick the box asking it to save the username and password but it never does! Any ideas?

Forget using the mobile connect software, just create a new dialup connection and put the number as *99#.
