My lass wants to know the name of this film, and all help is really appreciated.
She saw it in 1994, thinks it is a zombie kind of film (her words!). It about a man who lives with his disabled mother/family, meets a woman, decides to kill his mother possibly with rat posion. One of his family rips out someones heart at a party, and his mother turns into a giant rat and bursts through the roof of the house.
Any ideas? Our google skills are weak when the film name isnt known . . . .

Possibly a Stephen King film, I recall something vaguely familiar, not too sure though.
