I didnt like Mass Effect, im surprised that so many people did.
The main story was good, far enough.
The side quests, however, seemed like they had been tacked on because they realised the main quest was too short.
Every building or tunnel you go into on every side quest is exactly the same.
Driving the 'space buggy' around was absolutlly crap and no fun whatsoever. Finding minerals and special relics was boring as hell.
The varity in bad guys was appaling, the zombie things were great but hey they used them again with the plant zombie things! What was with that? One of the biggest disapoinments i think. The fighting parts of the game were no challennge, i could run into every battle gun blazing and know i would win 90% of the time.
Inventory and selling was crap, needed a far better back pack layout. Guns, oh, god guns all look the same, even when modded - how very cheap!
The DLC i completed without ever realising i had. I thought i was just playing a side quest - really, really disapointed on that too.
The part where you could run around your ship between missions felt useless, i didnt feel like i was getting to know the other npc at all.
It had potental, it just felt cheap to me, i hope 2 is much better.
