Any news on Hubble so far?

If you listen to the various briefings during and at the end of the servicing mission then it would appear that the mission was a success. Hubble has gone through the re-commissioning process, engineers are still conducting some tests on Hubble’s instruments but Hubble is operational and here is today’s activity report:

But note:

Also note that although an observation may have been performed, the data must be be processed and studied, and the finding may not be released for another few weeks to another few years.

The first new images are expected to be released in September.

Amazing really isn't... If this was done in 'bloke' fashion, we'd just open it up and take some picture with it and see if it worked :)
