The Samsung OmniaHD i8910 ... this NEEDS it's own thread.

Im having trouble installing sports tracker. Ive downloaded it, found it in file manager but whenever I try to install it, it syas certificate error

Anyone know what im doing wrong?

Okay an interesting development on the battery scenario, same again i went to sleep and left it on after a full charge, difference being this time i switched it on and off first, so i wake up this morning and its on full bars still.

Interesting. Now the more interesting part is the other night when i did it, i checked facebook and MSN messenger before leaving it all night, and even though there was nothing in the connection manager i am beginning to think either wifi or the internet was on all night?

What are your thoughts? Perhaps my battery isnt faulty afterall.

I had similar problems - now mine seems fine...but i check every application is closed in background and make sure the keypad is locked i'm getting over 2 days of battery now with calls and txt and just under if i use the net a fair amount.

Does anyone know how to put the phone into all download mode ?

I found some new stuff, here:

here is a post from someone:

you can get into the flashmode by pressing HOLD and slide volume up key together while powering on (pda download mode)

Thats pretty good, another thing is:

go to this site: http://share4gsm.com/index.php?strona=search
and search for i8910, here you can see there are firmwares for download.

Tell me if you get something or if it helps!

just to confirm to everyone, I plugged in a tv out cable that came with on old nokia N95 and it worked fine - Omnia on the telly, then I tried it with a sony camcorder one, again, no problems, finally tried with a JVC camcorder cable - again, no problems - guess its generic.

Sweet, thanks chum

is it worth getting this phone from Orange? with most of the great applications being removed and a big Orange logo behind the phone.. hmmm..
any idea when will the official network-unlocked version come out?

Well I cant knock orange service - I just called them about the battery issue - with everything switched off I am down to 2 bars in 4 hours, they have dispatched another phone to me, arriving tomorrow - its my 4th phone:mad:!!!

Last chance - then I'll give up and get an iphone!:(

Going through battery that quick there has to be something wrong with the phone or the battery. You should still have full bars if you've not been using at all.
