Which Sky HD+ box...

Personally I'd go for Pace. Most reliable imo and now has the new epg which fixed most of it's issues. But its really whatever he has in his van.

Pace or Samsung are the best from experience.

Thompson are ok aswell although not as good as the above two. Never had any problems with mine.

Amstrad boxes you should avoid. Had failed recordings / contrast broken in the options.

Samsung should be ok too although not as good and reliable as the PACE ones.

Had my Thompson skyHD box for about 18months now..Still working fine and is very quiet (Have it in my bedroom)

Plus it has Component & HDMI outputs

So can be used with HD recorders like this one

Is it easy to discern if the box is Pace or Samsung etc?
Furthermore is there anyway to ensure the sky engineer will fit one of the good ones? (Slip him a fiver or something

) ?

will have whatevere he has in his van. I came out with him as he said he only had amstrads (I groaned). He opened the van and there were laods of Paces. 'A Pace it is for you sir'

Mine has a small Pace logo on the side of the cardboard box.

Mines an Amstrad, are they really that bad I was told by the guy installing he had one and was ment to be the most reliable one?
