Do you put any health info on your CV?

If I were in a position to hire and fire, I would rather hire a non smoker as it cuts down on the regular 5 minute fag breaks and people bloody reeking of the stuff. Never put it on my own CV though.

Saw it on a colleagues CV earlier.. thought it was odd.

In fact has anyone filled in an application form for NHS before? They ask some questions I've not seen before, they seem to be trying to be as indiscriminate as they possibly can..

i dont know of any jobs where smokers get more breaks than non-smokers. I wish it was true, but its not.

Only the medical issue is relevant to the employer. e.g. if you have severe epilepsy and the job is graphic design, you probably should mention it somewhere. Maybe not on the C.V., possible on the questionnaire form they give that often asks for relevant medical information but this practice obviously varies. I'm not sure exactly what the story is. Perhaps an employer could comment.

I just have the scenario of a newly hired person saying after they've been accepted, "Oh, by the way, I have severe narcolepsy, I will be falling asleep for 20 minutes every 2 hours, you can't fire me because its a medical condition, maybe I should have told you but you never asked!".

Employer would then slam his face into the desk and scream vulgarities.

I worked a bar and the smokers were allowed 5 min breaks every hour or two, while non-smokers weren't. I suppose it didn't bother me because I smoked. If I didn't I might have said something to the manager.

I actually do because I haven't had a day off work for sickness in around 7 years. So I always put something around this.
