You can send the one it came in. I sent mines in one.

They just warn you of that because you wont get the box returned to you. So if you don't care about losing your box, just send it.

Or go into a local store that sells consoles and ask them if they have a spare?

They don't hand out boxes in the UK apparently - if you go on Youtube you will see planty of vids from Americans returning 360's in special foam and box from MS.

Seems we in the UK are not afforded the same customer care.

Mine went back last week, got some bubble wrap and then asked for a box from my local chinese take away when I was picking up a meal and surprisingly they had an old ketchup bottles box that fitted perfectly.

So if you need a box just go on the scrounge around your local shops or supermarket.

good luck.

They used to do it in the UK. They've stopped now to save costs (I think they've stopped in the US to).

They return it in these specially padded boxes, so they're worth hanging onto once you've had it go once. :P

No, they send the box back. They warn you because underhand postal workers know the size and weight of a 360 box and it will have a higher chance of "getting lost in the system".

They didn't send my box back, mines came in a plain brown cardboard box. I sent mines in an old 360 box and wrapped it in brown paper.

Unless they changed the way the do it, mines was what, 2 weeks ago maybe?

Or maybe it was cos i used a 360 box.
But it is silly not using the box in case it gets nicked, the guy who brought mines back knew what it was and says he gets a dozen a week in his round.
