Assassins Creed 2: Overview

The problem I always had with assassins was they took a fantastic setting, fantastic character and great idea and ran out of ideas after the first level.

The combat was woeful and they learnt nothing when they did prince of persia so I don't have high hopes for a 2nd.

The game blew me away for the first half hour and what should have ended up the best game I've ever played just got caught in a loop. Again exactly the same a PoP.

I really hope they can turn it around because they had all the ingredients for a fantastic gaming series.

Yeah, as soon as you got the counter attack that as it - it became incredibly easy and repetitive as it was just counter = win

I still enjoyed the game though so I'm looking forward to 2

Very loosely from what I caught. It takes place right after the ending of the first one but its a different relative or something like that. Its not Altiar though.

i really hope so, because the effects such as eagle eye were being imprinted on him in the modern world too, it was all starting to get interesting!

They said in the conference it was Desmond Miles. Ezio is a direct descendant of Altiar, so it wouldn't make sense to be anyone other than Desmond.
