what intrests u in fashion (or working in the industry) if u dont mind me asking can't think of anything more boring then designing stripes for a tshirt.

Its way more than that...its down to actually travelling and picking the right clothes for the store, ensuring it is the right style for the store, marketing it, setting up displays and making the store unique. Huge example...everyone knows Topman for their t-shirts with the 3 buttons, know the ones? And then every store has their own 'design' of a cardigan and so on.

I am not interested in designing anything and being creative with a sewing machine.

Sound a lot like the "Designers" at my old sports company. They basically picked a design pattern from a selection given to them from the manufactures in the far east and they picked a style of t-shirt to go on. CREATIVE!

Or just pick a style of trainer like the Nike Court Tradition and make 6 changes to make it legal and re-brand it Champion
