****SIMS 3****

Is there a way to slow down time I cannot see anything in options?

I mean it takes about 1 game hour to do almost anything by the time you've done a few necessities it's usually time for bed again, it takes about a week in-game to do what I'd expect to have done in a single day.

Yea i found that by the time ive made one serve dinner have a poo and a shower its bed time lol

Played them all previously before a bit minus addons, I just never liked how fast things were, you could never actually "play the game and have fun" in my eyes, it was a constant micromanagement of queing your next steps so your "sim" has enough time to eat/sleep/shower/work and I could never really fit anything in between!

Even cheating so you have money and not have to work it's like you're constantly battling to get stuff done in time. Screw it.

Did they ever change that/does sims 3 ingame time work a little slower now?

I have this on pre - order for my daughter. I've always found the SIMs a little strange. I share the opinion of a contributor of PC Gamer that my time playing games takes me somewhere away from my own life to something very different and unreal. Escapism to something I couldn't normally or never will do, like blasting zombie’s heads off and roaming around a jeep on the savannah dessert with a semi auto mounted on top.. I fail to see the point of creating an existence parallel to ones own. To all intense and purposes, it’s pretty hypercritical creating a virtual life when one does have one in the real world.

The pre order that I got for my girlfriend has just shipped, im preparing myself for a few days and weeks of being a sims widower :p

*unless its really good and I'll steal it off her

Yes you can make the days go a lot slower:)

Is it weird that I want to buy this to kill them in interesting ways?

My and a mate used to play one of the older ones where we would fill a room full of electrical appliances and get them to set fire to something and take away the door. NO ESCAPE! Was better if you made them invite a load of friends over first though. The taking away the stairs from the swimming pool was also a favourite. MWHAHA...

I need help :o

Just ordered it this minute for my GF to play.

Now... will it run on her new laptop, or will it be taking up my HTPC!?

Laptop versions of these chipsets may work, but may run comparatively slower. Standalone cards that are installed in vanilla PCI slots (not PCIe or PCIx or AGP), such as some GeForce FX variants, will perform poorly. Intel integrated chipsets featuring underclocked parts will not perform adequately.
Integrated chipsets such as the ATI Xpress and the NVIDIA TurboCache variants will have low settings selected, but should run satisfactorily.
Please note that attempting to play the game using video hardware that isn't listed above may result in reduced performance, graphical issues or cause the game to not run at all.
The NVIDIA GeForce FX series is unsupported under Vista.
