I bought the Wii as soon as it came out because well it's Nintendo it has to be good so I thought. I'm just wondered how many people like me bought played on it a few weeks got fed up of it and boxed it back up then bought a 360 or a PS3 or even both. I've not play on my Wii for well over a year. I just feel sick that I wasted my money on it.

Sold mine after around 6 months of it doing nothing. For myself and everyone I know personally who has a Wii, the novelty eventually wears off in a big way.

I also think it's pretty sad that one of the best (if not the best?) games is still the one you get free with it.

I played it for a few days, now it just sat on the TV stand spoiling the whole black theme I had going :(

mine is gathering dust, i did chip it so i can download games for it etc, but i think ill stick to me ps3 and 360

Got all three of the consoles here, and I can definitely say I've only played a Wii a few times. :/

I suppose it's pretty good for when mates are round, but it gets boring quickly.

Bought one about 1 and half years ago. And bar tiger woods 09 I've barely played. Certainly haven't touched it in the last 4 months. I will dust it off for tiger 10 with motion plus though.

Good purchase? ......no

Lasted about 3 days of casual playing before the novelty wore off.

Same here.

Stupidly i bought Wii Fit for the missus, she uses it once in a blue moon now (as she's discovered that jogging is far more effective and less humiliating) but still refuses to let me sell it.

Would get rid of the sodding thing and buy a 360 in a heartbeat if she-who-always-wins-arguments didn't say otherwise.

My young son got one when he was 14 and played it constantly. He played some fighting game which made little or no sense to me. As soon as I got him an Xbox at Christmas, he has not touched it since. To me the Wii is actually very old tech with slightly different way of controlling it. As it is rubbish as far as graphics and processing power, they try to fool you into buying games which are just total pap under the premise "It's really like doing said activity.". Well, just go and do it then for real, for free.

Rubbish console, no better than an n64.

I remember making a thread about a year ago asking why do people go on how good a console is by sales alone. The Wii proves that sales mean nothing. The Gamecube has better games than the Wii and that was bottom of the three when it came to sales last Generation.

I bought one for Wii Fit - turns out I got far more done getting off my lazy backside and going to the gym three times a week than I did prancing about on that poxy thing for twenty minutes a day. And the gym is waaay more satisfying. So now it's sitting there, looking out of place. It's very close to being donated to my best mate, who has two young lads and a wife who would probably use it around a hundred times more frequently than I do!

So to answer your question, not me! But soon.... :D

Same.

It's not even that great for when mates come around any more as they have played it too often or have one themselves and are just as tired of it as I am.

Wii is old man or little kid gaming, there's no two ways about it. The novelty wore off very quickly (and I'm incredibly sad to say that :()

Why don't you just sell the Wii, buy a 360 (make sure it's a white one) and just say

"See look what's happened to the Wii now... It's got all fat, that's because you didn't keep it fit with Wii Fit!!!"

You never know... it might work
