Holiday mood

So I've finally received a cheque from HMRC for tax that I was owed back which is good news! It is just under £600 but I would like some opinions of where to go (2 people this is in Late August/Early Sept time?)

Budget for both can probably be 500-1000 max?

Just fire locations you recommend etc.

Give us a clue what floats your boat. There's plenty of holidays to be had. The Greek islands are lovely that time of year, and pretty much anywhere in the med will be nice. You'll struggle to go further afield for £500 each. Maybe cheap caribbean, but you need to factor in the weather that time of year.

Lanzarote. Costa Teguise is the best of the 3 resorts, avoid Puerto Del Carmen like the plague it's a **** hole. Fantastic weather (just off of north africa), good food, nice and relaxed and not too touristy, you can easily get away from it all by renting a car (also dirt cheap, as is petrol)

Got back 2 weeks ago and wish i hadnt

Cost us £600 for 2 of us self catering , so you'd need to factor in eating costs etc but it depends on how much you eat

I wouldn't mind visiting the USA but as you mentioned it would probably strech outside my budget.

Been to Italy/Greece. Would like to visit Egypt or New York/Boston.

that's exactly how it looked to the eye! Papaguyo beaches on the south west of the island, supposedly famous for the clarity of the water etc, and i can see why!
