Have you ever been attacked by a bird?

A chicken :p.
Because I came too close to her chicks.
Was like 7 at that time.

Nothing happened though I just ran away.

One occurrence stands out in my mind.

Some time back I was looking for a pair of Love-Birds for my Sister, she really likes them apparently. Anyway, I notice this really hot this Woman in the store, looks like she works there as she's carrying around a Mynah bird in a cage, but I know she doesn't really and go ahead with a crafty ploy to 'mistake' her for a salesperson in order to get laid.

So, of I go and ask her about the Love-Birds and we get talking. After a while I confess that I knew all along she wasn't a salesperson and that I was only interested in getting to know here as we'd met sometime before in Court. She wasn't happy, in fact she was quite mad! We went our separate ways.

Unbeknown to me though, she'd found out where I lived from the store and decided to purchase the Love-Birds and bring them out to me herself. So, there I was watching her cross the lake in a small boat, It's the quickest way to my house on the far-side, thinking "SCORE" when all of a sudden a bloody great Seagull swooped down and slashed her head!

Things of the Ornithological persuasion quickly went down hill from then.

I have lived at the seaside all my life (and I am my forties) and although seagulls have always nicked the occasional chip etc these days we have complete mutated beasts that can be quite savage and are quite intimidating.

The worst are in berwick in my opinion, they have zero fear of humans and some are getting close to the size of a goose.

Got attacked as a young child by a raven. It was a neighbours pet and it flew hovering over my head and repeated swooping attacks at me.

The kids had to be taken into school via a side door, as a crow had managed to get its foot stuck in the fence just outside the nursery entrance. As a result, the other crows nesting in the nearby tree were swooping at anyone that went near the distressed one.

lol thats brilliant... there bloody scary too.

I was at the park about 2/3 years back with my to labradors. Walked past the lake and my two dogs angered a pack of swans. Me and my dogs just legged it lol!

I mate of mine let a wild Jackdore into his house and kept it as a pet. when I went in one day it went straight for my eye, I got away with just a scratch.
After a few more attacks on others they took it to another town and released it, later there were reports of a Jackdore attacking people.

I once got attacked by a pheasant, i was helping to trap a few in a pen to release for a shoot we had planned, i was catching them with a landing net, but this really aggressive male was having none of it, he flew up and hit me in the face, then proceeded to escape. I hope someone eventually shot him.
