Now I dunno if I should go for this or build 7100, I'm worried about punkbuster in cod4 working.

If you're worried about PunkBuster dual-boot and keep your current OS for gaming. As PunkBuster won't support beta OS's it's unlikely to matter which Windows 7 build you use.

well im sticking with 7100 as punkbuster is working now in cod4,will just buy the final version when it comes out

It's not a release candidate, it's just another build like 7127 was. It's not meant to be a public release like the release candidates are, they probably will go from RC1 to RTM still but they do still have things to do to it before release.

Just did a fresh install of this build on a brand new WD Caviar Black 1TB.

Punkbuster does not seem to work.

Not sure how solid this news is, however acording the windows7center Windows 7 RC2 at build 7200 is going to be made available on June 11th?

Anyone running this yet? Do you get the option to choose the welcome screen or any other features added?I went back to a clean install of 7100 after an upgrade to 7137 for Punkbuster. Not working in COD W@W quite yet, but that could be due to mine being a steam copy. I am actually enjoying using this much more this time around and my home PC is currently booted up with this running. Virtual XP is quite fun to play with for 5 minutes. Looks good to have win xp on my 19" and W7 running on my 28"

It's obvious Microsoft leaks these on purpose and lets the general public do their testing for them because there is no way someone would be able to sneak all these builds out without getting caught.

I can't see it being that hard to sneak them out. I also can't see it being to Microsoft's detriment, so maybe they don't care that much.

Punkbuster will not support any Beta OS, therefore it will not work on any version of Windows 7 except the final version.

PB is not supported by builds above 7137 I think. Was working fine for me before on 7137

pb/cod4 seems to be working for me now on 7127, whereas before it didnt work (think i tried it on rc 7100 although not sure, definately tried it on earlier builds and couldnt get it working well

(have 7201 but dont wana change, gona wait for some major revisions/things to make me wana upgrade, 7127 is stable etc for me atm)
