As title really. What's the lowest you can go price wise and still get a car that's fun to drive.

Points awarded for:
-Low price
-High power-to-weight ratio
-Good looks
-Big enough for a 6 ft 4 lanky git like me to fit in*
-Engine noise

Fuel economy and reliability are not things I'm concerned with. It's pretty much an academic exercise atm since I have no intention of replacing my current car this year. But I'd still find it interesting to see what people think.

Ooooh good choice, how much can you pick a decent one up for. Is it up there on cheapness?

Definitely. Expect to pay less than £1k for a decent coupe :)

I couldn't fit in one, so got it's bigger brother, with the same engine, if feeling boost coming on tap is your thing, highly recommended. Not recommended if you like horrible revvy engines or low end power :p

id go for a MK 1 MR2

highly enjoyable to drive and dirt cheap.

I'd say the Mk2 simply because Mk1's are rare & starting to command a premium over the Mk2.

The Mk2 is quicker & sounds great too! :D

For fun though you want something RWD ideally.

Defintely not a mk1 MR2

(Well I can't have everyone else trying to buy one whilst I'm on the lookout for another one can I? :D )
