Does anyone know which card this is?

& which of these two cards is better?

Thanks

can you connect the cards to a working PC?

if so, use GPUz to find out what the card is?

if not are there any stickers on the other side giving a clue to its idenity?

Edit: pretty sure the ati card is an x800, might be an x800xt or x850, not sure. The nvidia card might be a 6600 of some kind. If i am correct then the ati card is more powerful but the nvidia card supports smartshader 3 which the ati card doesn't.

Best double check, but nvidia card looks like the "NVIDIA QUADRO FX1300 PCIE 128MB DUAL DVI 8973 P268 TVO"

The ati card no idea as to model

Would hazard a guess the ati may have the edge due to twin slot and large fan/hs and what looks like extra power socket (top right)

Sorry not much help

Unfortunately I don't have a PCI-Express motherboard to try them on.

I'm trying to decide which card to use for the i7 system I have ordered.

Did a search on google images and found that its an x850xt, thanks to your good guess.

Yes, you are absolutely correct about the nvidia card.

So the question which remains is which of the two cards is better?

I will not be gaming, the machine will be used for HD video editing/encoding mainly.

Also I had these cards already, so I thought I might as well use them, rather than spending more money on a new card which I don't require.

Maybe try both cards and see if either one seems better suited to your needs ??

Must say cards sure have come a long ways looks-wise since those cards (not that you can see the underneath of cards once in a standard case lol)

It's just evolution obviously but when googling i came across cards with a small HS on and no fan, sheesh those were the days of 16meg ram cards at £200 lol dang how things change
