What do you regret buying?

Powerizers...

£150 down the drain, only used them a few times before realising how stupidly dangerous they are!

PS2 - never gets used and was barely used even when I first got it.

Various bits of PC hardware over the years which weren't really needed at the time but seemed like a good idea.

HP C3000 Unix workstation .... used a bit but barely touched now (in fact its currently in the garage).

Numerous DVDs

Car - It's been a minor money pit.
PS3 - Got bored after being disillusioned by GTA4.
Loads of sub-par hifi equipment that should've been good, but just didn't work for me.

Bought a 32 inch TV at the end of last year since I thought I'd be here for a while. Ended up getting an offer to study in Beijing this summer so now I have about 2 weeks to get rid of it after only owning it for 6 months or so >< Will probably end up getting far less than I paid for it as well since I need to sell quickly.

Jackson RR5

Loved the shape when I played it in the shop for 20 mins, but after a few months of actually owning it the shape started to annoy me.

If I am honest, I typically don't regret buying any large purchases - and really only regret the smaller ones, because I typically don't put as much thought in to them.

NC10 - It's painfully slow, I'd rather carry something heavier that could play youtube/hd and be used for productivity without lag.

A stack of pc/ps3 games and bd films - Not played/watched many of them.

Razer Lash** - The name is a give-away to how good it is. It fails at being a mouse. Interestingly, the reason I bought it.

Logitech E3500 - Worst webcam/mic ever.

I don't think I've been too unlucky when it comes to regretting something as I usually return it if its rubbish or sell it off it works.

I couldn't hink of a good way to sum this up in a title but,

What is the one purchase you have made in your life that you wish you hadn't, either because it was far to expensive and never gets used, it lost all it's resale value or because it tuned into a money pit.

Cars, Houses, Stocks/Shares, Clothes etc etc

honestly i haven't ever made a bad purchase recently from memory. i don't own anything i've regretted buying. all of them have served to do things i need them to.

The NAS I bought over a year ago. It's been on in total for about an hour, waste of £100 - not to mention 2 harddrives just sitting around doing nothing because of it.

My First DSLR - Paid over the odds for it and replaced it within a few months, wish I just bought a better model new first time or spent longer looking for a bargain.

Xbox 360 - similar to my first SLR - paid over the odds for one that was out of warrantee, played a lot when I first got it, but not really worth the money. I'd sell it if it wasn't for the fact it is worth bugger all now and Forza3 comes out in a few months :p

Loads of games, Supreme Commander Special Edition (awesome game - but the extra cost of the special addition was pointless - came with a load of crap), Bioshock (£45 and spent about 20 minutes on it)

Not to mention loads of cheap bits and pieces from the Members Market that I had no need for :p

Honeymoon to the Maldives.

To be perfectly honest the place is ok but for the money it cost us we could easily have gone somewhere much better, when all's said and done the maldives is just a more upmarket beach holiday.

We paid half as much to go to Las Vegas and it was so much better in every single way.

The wife's car, a renault scenic.

It eats petrol, is starting to rust everywhere, has been through 3 drive shafts, 2 head gaskets and the skims that came afterwards and the list could go on forever.

We hought we were getting a bargain (its still only got 48k on the clock and its 10 years old) but after the initial outlay of 3k a couple of years ago i bet it has cost us the same again to maintain it.

******* hate that ******* car!

my i7 rig! im about 3grand in debt now not including student loans etc :s

Time to get rid!

ps any ideas where to sell a second hand pc that isnt ebay? No way I want to lose about 15% after fees/paypal!

R/C truck, used it a handful of times, upgraded it loads, roughly £400 spent, and now it sits in a box gathering dust
My PC, i dont know why, but i just regret it.
Also the engagment ring i bought a couple of years ago, needless to say ive still got it after we split, and its a constant reminder.

I'm about to buy 4 silly expensive things, and I know I'm going to regret it. But I'm going to do it anyway, because I want them. Word.
