"Other" meaning not SFIV obviously.

With interest waning in SFIV and Tekken 6, Marvel Vs Capcom 2, BlazBlue, King of Fighters XII due out very soon which game will you lot flock to next?

Personally only MvC2 looks interesting to me, but I'll give KoF XII a proper go too. It's a shame I finish uni this year as I will no longer have a constant supply of fellow time wasters to play these fighters with and will be stuck with the sorry excuse for online play ala SFIV, so I'll never get to play the games as they were originally intended :(

tekken 6. thats the only one i plan to play properly :). t6 will also easily have the biggest player base of all the up coming beat em ups

im interested in blazblue as well but i doubt ill be learning it... just messing around on it.

I'm pretty much interested in all of them.

Very excited for King of Fighters XII as it is one game that is keeping the graphics to it's 2D sprite roots but in glorious HD, and of course BlazBlue seeing as it is by the Guilty Gear guys.

Others to look out for are the English release of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom for the Wii which will apparently have online play and a few new characters.

Lastly, there is Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny on the PSP just to see how truely great it looks and plays in motion on the handheld.

So there is quite a lot to look forward to in the fighting game genre.

Tekken 6 and KoFXII. Tekken 5 DR is fantastic despite its shoddy netcode, if they fix that for tekken 6 and allow for that streets of rage mode to be online coop then i'll be very excited.

Really loving all the info on King of Fighters XII looks awesome both gameplay wise and graphically.

The next fighter I'm looking forward would probably be Tekken 6.

Tekken 6 and the Soul Edge/Blade/Calibur series for me, just always seem to be exactly how I like them, I just don't buy into the SF hype at all.

KoF XII has potential, although I'm not a fan of having 3 different characters on the go. But I've ALWAYS been a SF fan and never really got into KoF.
I guess if it plays well I'll get used to it...?

Like the look of Blazblue, looks a lot like Melty Blood, but I've never played a Melty Game ever, so my opinion is purely based on the art style, apparent fluidity and slick presentation. No idea how they play.....

I'm still a big fan of SFIV though to be honest. Yes I can see why people are turning away from it. Obviously they have put time and effort into their execution and combo's etc and then some scrub spams DP's and at some point in the combo scrub's lucky enough to score a hit through priority. This coupled with damage scaling makes it very frustrating....
BUT, the better you get the less likelyit is to happen, and eventually, it won't happen anymore, because you'll know how to deal with it.
Beyond that, if you're lucky enough (Like E36) to find a thriving local community where you can play other experienced players in person in a regular tourney, then you won't need to worry about any scrub-tastic losses.....

But back on topice...

KoF XII :)

I saw a website had some playtime with the Tekken Force mode in Tekken 6 and they said it was pants. I think they have tried to make it more advanced than the the one in Tekken 3, and failed.

Tekken 6 for sure. I discovered last week that The Trafford Centre has a T6 cabinet. I've been down 3 times in the last week :p

Other than that, the wife is quite interested in Soul Calibur : Broken Destiny on PSP.

Well it they haven't bothered with pre-order, then hopefully retailers will think it's some 2-bit crappy fighting game and price it at £20 or something.
That would make me very happy indeed!

Quite looking forward to KOFXII, never played a KOF game, but looks good so far.

I have read comments before where people have referred to KOF as a poor mans Street Fighter, but the latest release looks quite polished.

Those people clearly didn't put the effort in, it's been a very incremental game from the first incarnation, so unless you've kept up, the system it uses can be quite daunting. Having said that, I'm wondering if they'll have made it a little more accessible this time round, to maximise the appeal.
If anyone sees it on pre-order, can they PLEASE let me know.
I don't need to know where, just that it's out there, I can use google just fine ;)

Im interested in ANY fighting game :) Not saying Im good at them, but they are my favourite genre by a long shot.
The best 2D fighter for me is Marvel vs Capcom 2.
3D for me its a tough one, but its got to be the Tekken series.
I miss a lot of the retro arcade beat em ups. All I can say is, thank God for MAME :D

Anyone got good links to beat em up fan sites?

I hope they re-work Guilty Gear XX again. I can't get enough of that game (just so long as they don't release another Guilty Gear 2: Overture. Bleh).
