Official 4GHZ Club Thread

I'm glad most are going beyond the 8k test. I made the qualifier easy otherwise I figured there would not be too many posts and therefore this thread get lost and forgotten about.

I am not suggesting 8k prime test = stability, but for the sake of those who would just barely get into windows @ 4.0 and post, I had to at least make some sort of "test". I ran for 45 minutes, but more importantly have gamed it straight for months and never had a crash. If I do crash however, I will adjust and run prime for longer and then most certainly update my pic. :D

right here is mine at 4.3GHz after 16min on Prime. How did I do? Do I get my VIP pass now? :D

12 hours prime stable. Cpu can go higher though my memory fails.
Is this some kind of record for 4ghz+ and low vcore on air?

I wish I had your chip p4radox!! I've managed to drag my E5200 kicking and screaming up to 4Ghz 8K stable, but check out the vcore and temps at 75 (on air)! Not going to running this 24/7 lol!

So mine aint as impressive as I thought? I know E5200's are half the price. Does fsb make that much difference to the system speed?

Its pretty much the speed at which the CPU can "communicate" with pretty much everything else in the PC. So yea, its better to get to 4GHz using 8x500 than 10x400 or 12.5x320 like you have. Still, 4GHz no matter how you get there is impressive :D

My i7, only 10 passes sadly but have re-ran and is 20 pass stable, no SS sadly :(

Also my be-loved Q9650:

Haha, I was checking the temps on Real Temp thinking "none of those are -2, whats he on about"!

Im staying away from high wycombe, thats freezing! But gives nice clocks :p its an impressive 9650

My Q9650 does 4ghz easy so it should most do, highest OCCT at 8hrs is 4.2ghz.
Got no screen shots did it for my benefit not my epeen.
When I do turn my PC on which is not very often (NC10 rules for me) it is at 4ghz nice and quiet.

If you are not bothered about your "epeen"; why even mention it here?
Oh, just to be helpful, right? No.
Just because your chip hits four ghz, does not make it the norm and thus there was no need to mention your chip.
Therefore I conclude you do like to vaunt your cyber **** in public, boasting, ney; maybe even exaggerating, heaven forbid.
I thank you.;)

Ram didn't even arrive on friday :/ got my P5K instead but its pretty useless without the Ram :( Im not going to bother trying to get it stable with 512mb of RAM as it will probably go unstable once 4Gb is added.

What fund  its more like 470 but if i get refunded for my ram that seems to be lost in the post and then buy a new set it will probably be around 450, im leaving it for a week or two until ive finished my exams though.

On another note e5200 @ Stock + TRUE = no raise in temperature when under load ;)
