Putting AVI's onto DVD to watch in a DVD player

Hi there, i have a few .avi's on my computer that i would like to put onto DVD's so my elderley relatives can view them on their TV. Had a quick look but didn't really find anything. How can i put the .avi's onto a DVD-RW so that it can be shown on a DVD player

If their dvd player plays avi files then all you need to do is use nero burning rom and burn them to dvd.
