Anyone got tyre insurance?

After seeing this thread I was thinking about taking it out for the girlfriend’s car.

I found a few companies offering the service

I did a quick google and most people seem to have had claims paid for without any problems

Whats to stop me taking this insurance for £59 and then waiting a few months and saying someone slashed all my tyres

you would have to do it one at a time!

according to their policy you dont.

* Claim for a maximum of 5 tyres up to £1,250
* New for old (like for like)
* All makes of tyres are covered
* Spare tyre covered

Most the places said that any one claim could not be for more then 300 pounds and a max of 5 tyres in the 2 years.

So what happens if you have a 4WD car with a viscous centre diff and therefore if one tyre goes pop you have to replace all 4?

Even if you don't have such a car, you still need to replace the two on the same axle.
