Are these temperatures ok?

Hi,

I have just put together my first build, which was the i7 920 overclocked bundle with an Antec 902 case. I'm about to load an OS onto it, but before I do so I am wondering whether these temperatures are normal.

When idle, the bios reports that the CPU and system temperature are 38 C, while the MCH (northbridge) temperature is around 47 C. Is this OK or should I re-seat the heatsink?

Thanks.

I'm about to put the OS on so I will try with real temp and core temp after I have.

The case fan speeds are on the lowest settings, with the CPU cooler fan speed set on auto.

The cooler is a Titan Fenrir TTC-NK85TZ.

I don't know the exact temperature of the room, but it is pretty cool.

Here are the Core Temp and Real Temp readings when idle.

(Bear in mind it is overclocked to 4Ghz)

Looks a tad high tbh, especially when you consider speedstep is obviously enabled, and the cpu is only running at 2.3ghz idle.

Like leexgx said run prime 95 and monitor your temps.

The first pic you posted with your idle temps seemed really high to me, but the load temps for 4GHz dont look to bad, but you should let Prime run for at least 10 minutes before you take a screen...

i try not not let it get pass 70c my self but 85c is bit high as auto thermal throttling can kick in then (not sure if i7 does that or if that was an P4 thing only)
