I've heard that photo booth pictures can be rejected for not being 'good enough'. Incorrect lighting, incorrect distance, blah blah.

yes. keep your head in the oval and follow the passport instructions on photos.

Got mine done manually by a photographer. Was a bit sceptical at first, but the results were good. And one advantage is the photographer will look at the photo's before printing and just re-do them if anything is wrong. Saves you having to pay twice in a booth if the first set are no good.

the booths let you take the picture as many times as you like, until you are happy with it. Then you press print.

IIRC, you get three goes. Well, that's been the case for all I have been in.

It's a shame that I know these things....
