Mk4 Golf

Eeek, wasn't aware of that... Possibly a symptom of the wrong oil used.

vRS not remapped yet, warranty is up now so I'll get around to it soon.

Skoda is even better screwed together than my Bora was with not a rattle or squeak to be heard and has been utterly reliable. Only thing that went wrong has been the high level brake light.

It's common on early 2002 models. VW blamed it on people using incorrect oil but there have been cases of people having problems, after owning the car from new and using VW dealerships for services.

Many believe it's a weakness in the cam.

Hi guys, i'm trying to hunt a GT TDI 130 3 door down and have a couple of questions regarding extra's.

How much do 18' RS4 alloys cost?

How much was leather as an optional extra?

Was the rear spoiler an optional extra?

Thanks ;)

i'd take the leon over the golf. (obviously)

although i do think that the quality of materials is higher in the leon than the golf, as it's nicked everything from the A3..
my mate's got a golf iv and the dash really is worse

I've owned both and to me the interior of the Golf was a nicer place to be.

For good quality ones (Lolz) made in Italy (these are actually quite good quality) around £400, OEM ones won't fit on a golf due to the offset plus they cost a fortune etc.

Tyres are £88 a corner from the internets.

18" RS4 alloys on a golf look pretty silly IMO - fine on a bigger car like a Passat but they make a golf look like its got massive feet.

I'm not looking at buying them, just wondering how much I could get back for them as they are already on the car.

Most do not seem to have the rear spoiler for some reason.

I like the look of the leathers and it looks in vgc but, it is over priced.

£5,000 03 GT TDi 130, 1 owner from new, FSH, RS4 alloys, leather seats.

*Nathan has your cup got a silver front grill? Spotted one in Shifnal the other day.

My gosh you are STILL looking for a car? Blimey.

The laws of supply and demand state that fake RS4 wheels are worth £0, as there is no demand for them anymore becasue every Mk4 Golf ever built, and half the ex-AA VW Transporters, all have them already.

Very true, they seem incredibly popular.

Yes, I scrapped the Clio idea as I fancy something well built and comfortable.

I missed out on a beauty in a space of minutes last week

Hes yet to find something which costs £2000, does 75mpg, 0-60 in 4.3 seconds and makes women remove their knickers.

That should tick all those boxes...sort of.

I have been looking at the Leon's, that one is a CATD which is a shame.

If I went for a Leon it would have to be a Cupra R lookalike.

Decent Golf's are like gold dust. Most have either 190gazilion miles or have been chavved up.

Where did you get £2000 from?

I've got over £5,000 to spend.

I'll buy anything aslong as it does not have a Peugeot, Citroen or Renault badge on the front.
