Ebay seller lol

I thought they'd already clamped down on this.

The odd thing is - I've never had anybody even remotely complain about my postal prices - yet for certain catagories I'm not allowed to charge postage fees. In other catagories there's a maximum. :/

Which are completely incompatible with their recommendations that you use a tracked and insured delivery service.

Very true, ebay haven't got it right yet.

I wait for Amazon's "order by total price" to make it's way over, so much easier. It annoys the hell out of me on ebay when the item costs less than the postage. Especially when I worked in a post office and know exactly what it should cost to send. Fair enough, recoup the listing cost (25p)... anything more is taking the p

I don't see anything too badly wrong with upping the postage a bit but I must admit £25 is excessive for a small item.

But all depends whether the cost of the item plus postage is worth buying? I always look at the cost of both added together and I hate people who winge after winning about the cost of postage. It's not just postage, it's packaging as well as time/fuel taking it to the post office.

If you buy a box and bubble warp and wrapping paper then it can end up being quite costly.

I had one person complain about a £9.95 charge after he won as he said according to Royal Mail the postage is only £6.95 and that's all he was prepared to pay. I sent him an email back saying far enough, I'll except £6.95 if you send me the packaging materials :p

i only sell buyer to collect I live in belguim so everyone is only 1 hour away.

:D

yes.report him.

i reported someone who had said that do discount on multiple item's but only gave 50p discount.

i paid £6 with postage discount and the total cost was £2.60.

contacted the seller and they didnt want to know.

then i rang e bay and complained about the cost and i got £20 from e bay as a sorry.

it does pay to complain even if you dont want to.

and before all you young people start ranting at me for doing that.......i earn my money and i dont see why someone else should have it !

I usually just put a flat fee of 5 to 7 quid when actual postage turns out to be about 3 - 4.

However I have to take time out of my day to go downtown to the post office, and I usually recycle boxes and packing material but sometimes need to purchase some anyway. Not ever had anyone complain about high postage...if they did I would be a bit miffed.

However if I were charging 15-20 that would be a whole different story.

I'd give him a good reporting.

I usually don't buy expensive items I'm always on the lookout for impulse buys, I see a lot of items with high postage, usually they are from Honkers. I try to buy from UK sellers because half the time there's only a few pennies in the total price but HK sellers charge excessive postage a lot of the time.

What is this order by total price thing?
