I was quite surprised to see a few items that interest me on ebay with good prices, but silly postage amounts (£25 for a very small item) Anyway, I contacted the seller and asked that as I was only a stones throw away, could I collect in person if I won.

He replied: "Hi, Thankyou for your enquiry but we are an internet company, deliveries only"

This is blatantly so he can profit from the postage costs, isn't it?

and?

If people get put off by the postage it's only hurting the company, if people pay £25 for a small item then more fool them, they can always get the item somewhere else.

Everyone loves a grass!! Especially for something as pathetic as this!
If you wanted to pick it up and get yourself a bargain then you should have checked before bidding, your own fault really!

Um I haven't bid on the item. You might want to try, you know, reading the post before spewing forth your opinion.

I thought they'd already clamped down on this.

The odd thing is - I've never had anybody even remotely complain about my postal prices - yet for certain catagories I'm not allowed to charge postage fees. In other catagories there's a maximum. :/
