Tweetie for the Mac!

I don't "get" Twitter.
people generally don't until they've tried it, and even then its only any good if your mates are on it also...

I am not really a big fan of the whole social networking malarchy, but i actually really like twitter maybe its the simplicity of it that appeals, but it connects you to other peoples lives in quite a cool well-thought-out way :)

I didn't see the point of it, then I tried it and I've made some good friends through it.

I think of twitter as facebook status updates.....regularly...
That's how I describe it to people

I see/use it in an absolutely opposite way! I won't/don't follow anyone who uses it like that. I use it for web design/development networking.
Got a lot of RSS feeds from people on twitter and theyre always helpful with feedback/ideas/questions. Great community for the design industry on there!

Personally, I don't see a point in using it if you use it to tell people what you're doing every 5minutes, but thats just me!

Was using Twitterific for my Iphone, but have swapped over to Tweetie - the functionality is much better and it's quicker and easier to use than Twitterific. Well worth the pound and a bit (although I suppose you should just use the website) :)

naah i think the true value of twitter is obvious when you use it though a quick and easy app on the phone... when on a desktop its different the net is fine (for me) but there is no way i'd bother with updates without tweetie (or similar) - simple as take picture, type a bit, done :)

i just cant see anyone bothering to take a photo, download it to the computer, etc etc...

I'm not sure, I did ask them for that and they said they'd had a few requests for it but I never checked to see if it had been added.

I've just followed you *stalk mode on*

I used to be on there, but it seemed pointless when they removed the option to see messages from people who you weren't following.

I think I heard 60% of sign-ups never return after the first month. That's me! :p

I use this and TweetDeck, both are good IMO, kinda prefer the 'look' of Tweetie, but the interface on TweetDeck is possibly better.

Should do a thread in here for Twitter usernames or something, not sure how many will see it that are non-Apple users, though.
