Sheffield United sue next?

My money is on Burnley, I mean they must have cheated to have beaten them. They'll probably sue Manchester City too, just because they have signed Tevez.

Essentially what I am trying to say here is Sheff Utd by their actions have made themselves one of the biggest laughing stocks in football.

When I speak to my friends, listen to sports radio, watch sports shows and even some newspapers a few days cannot go by without someone cracking the "Sheff Utd are going to sue them for that" joke.

Anyone agree or are there even bigger laughing stocks out there?

P.S. As a Newcastle fan I can safely say that Mr Ashley is running us into a close second place in his determination to destroy the football club whilst simultaneously isolating himself from any sympathy from absolutely anyone out there.

I don't really think a Newcastle fan is the right person to call another club a laughing stock.

Newcastle? The new owner was suppose to be the new life and the man to take them from Shepards darkest days, at least he could keep them in the prem.

Shefflield United did what they had to do in the best interests of the club, Tevez was a dodgy dealing but Sheffield couldn't beat Wigan on the last game of their premiership season, so thats what sent them down.

To be honest Sheff UTD are in a **** situation really. But, they won, i.e. they had a point.

If you want a laughing stock take Phil Brown and his accusations on Cesc.

I did agree with Sheff Utds complaints about the way West Ham got off lightly with their lies about Tevez being their player. But after the FA failed again to act properly following the assault on Iain Hume by United's Chris Morgan, I think natural justice was done when Sheff failed to get promoted ;)

What was the point in this thread? As a blades fan I did feel a little hard done by, and thought it was the right decision to make claim to the Tevez case, but we lost fair and square to Burnley this year, and to Wolves and Palace in previous play-off finals.

Warnock was outspoken and was obviously passionate, just like a fan, but that's all.

We've got no complaints apart from being disappointed and annoyed with the team, just like every other team in a similar situation.

If we would have gone down and attempted to sue Sheff Utd for the Iain Hume incident they would have kicked off big time.

The FA should have dealt with that a lot better though in fairness.

The club didn't benefit because of the Morgan "challenge".

If anyone was to be sued from that, it should be the player.

West Ham gained a huge advantage from the FA's shocking, spineless ruling. But, I still feel if we was going to sue anyone, it should have been the FA. Because of those, West Ham got punished twice, which I don't agree with.

Well, you could say they gained a benefit in the game against us. Our best player being taken out of the game thus helping them get the win. (Then again in the reverse fixture).

The fact that our £1.2M striker (a lot of money for Barnsley) was out for the rest of the season could also have seen us relegated, which would in turn have lead to a loss of money.

I'm not saying it's the same, but when Sheff Utd go suing people they think it's fair but if the boot was on the other foot they would be in uproar.

As for Chris Morgan, I would never say he is a monster like a lot of Barnsley fans now think. Everybody knows what kind of defender the guy is (especially us as he did the same when he played here), he goes in hard and strong and likes to ruffle strikers feathers. But then again, he actually nearly killed a fellow professional due to his actions so I believe he should have been punished. The main upset of Barnsley fans is the fact that the FA did practically nothing and if the same incident would have happened on the street Morgan would have got time.
