Asus 4870X2 purchased.. now I need a new case!

Hiya

I fancied a graphics card upgrade and saw the Asus ATI 4870X2 card on OCuk site and bought it and now I have it! Now the down side... it wont fit in my case!! I didnt think it would be so huge compared to my 8800GTS but oh well, so now I need a new case. I currently have a big Antec case but sadly there isnt that much room inside it to fit the card in.

Could anyone recommend a case with plenty of space inside along with space for a DVD drive and 2 harddisks? I have looked at the cases, but I'm not sure and dont want to buy the wrong one.

Silverstone Fortress will do it - although you'll prob have to remove the upper 3.5" drive tray leaving you with only 3 x 3.5" slots available. If that's enough for your needs then it's a great midi tower case for a high end rig. I had to remove the drive bay on mine but put 2 extra drives into 5.25" bays with adaptors - problem solved! Of course there are bound to be other cases which you can fit that GPU in without removing other capacity, but I expect they'll mostly be full towers.

big Antec case

Antec doesn't have a single really big case... but while not full tower high P193 is E-ATX case so it will take long graphic cards regardless what you have in device bays.

What style case you would want?

Deduct center slot from that number for having good HDD cooling.
