Hi all,

I've done a couple of searches via Google and PGAC, but can't really find anything.

My mum owns a 2000 (X) 306 HDI, and went to have the air-con re-gassed.

The guy said he couldn't re-charge the system as it was leaking, and would replace the pipes providing she bought them.

The 2 pipes are quite common to go according to results on Google, they run across the front lower part of the car (behind the front bumper).

According to the A/C guy, the pipes are...

-Compressor to Condenser Discharge Pipe
-Compressor to Service Valve Suction Pipe

Any help retrieving part numbers would be great, or a point in the direction that i can get the part numbers :)

Thanks,

Phil

Just read through it all, priced up the 2 pipes i need (from Advanced Radiators) at £100ish delivered!

:)

When you replace them put LOADS of thick grease around the joins - I did on my old 6 when I first bought it and the pipes never let me down.

Make sure its those pipes, I know they are common for breaking, but I think a leak test would be worth it.

My air con doesnt work, the pipes look pretty good, but the air con radiator thing is completely shafted. With it being infront of the coolant radiator its taken the brunt of all the road crud and damage and its not the best.

It has been tested, hence him specifically naming the pipes that we need :)

Its been tested and has come back that it leaks.

He didnt say where from did he, just that the pipes are common to leak and that the guy would replace them.

Most places put UV dye in the gas so you can see where it comes out of so all going well this guy did the same. The pips are extremly common.
