I thought I'd start this thread because there are a lot of outstanding photographers here and I'm curious to see what they personally consider to be, not their best necesarily, but their favourite image.

Without trying to be arrogant, I'll get the ball rolling.

I like this because it was such a spontaneous shot and its one which despite the subject being almost completely centred still catches my attention quite well. That and I love the attention he is paying to the camera without him actually posing.

Probably my favourite shot so far, sold a few copies of it, got best print in an exhibition and a few other things..

Was one of those shots where everything came together, and i'd been following the damn thing for over an hour and I was exhausted, he looked at me and shook backlit mud and water everywhere, just what I wanted.

wow, I can see why you would think that. Really stunning and I'm sure you probably like it a lot just because of the work you put into getting it!

Put to shame by masters such as V-Spec, but still, i love them cause they're mine!

Some great shots, think my favourite is the sunset I entered in the competition at the end of last year that I took on boxing day or the day after.
I know I can do better but I'm yet to get that shot that puts a smile on my face every time I look at it.

Really like this one too - but like the above I can see so many things that I could improve on now :p

oh my word, i LOVE the beach in the second one, it's so nice there.
I really want to go swimming now.
Is there a story to any of these? Why are they your favourites?

Added to my post. I'm learning new things every time I use the camera, just lacking in interesting opportunities to use it.
Guess the thing I need to learn most is how to make something that doesn't stand out as special into an interesting photo. Ofcourse it comes down to what you think is special. Raymond and V-Spec's shots are both awesome, they capture a moment fantastically :)

Probably this, i think it was technically one of my better shots I've taken, and I really like the post processing on it. On top of that it is one of my favourite locations (a quite part of Derwent Water in the Lakes) and I am a sucker for Piers!

I think the best advice i was ever given was by someone on this forum(messiah kahn) when they said to have your camera on you at all times and when you don't have it with you, why the hell not? I think it is actually all about what you personally find special and a great photographer is someone who can take a seemingly normal thing and convey it through one frame.

E.g. Raymond, the look on her face at that moment says so much

Jonny_no2, wow! that really leads you in

Yeh agreed, I try and take my camera out if I am just wondering about and similar. Got a few things lined up over the summer in which I hope to get some nice shots. Just wish I lived near the sea or somewhere with more interesting countryside. Flat and boring here for the most part :p lol

Possibly not my best, but probably my favourite. Family i don't see enough of.

Edit: been made a lot light uploading it, nevermind.

Thanks!

Not really much of a story from my side, I was on holiday in Zante, and we went to Smugglers cove (the shipwreck), but then a few days later we went up onto the viewing platform, and looked down

the 1st one i like because of the atmosphere that the HDR gives, thats it! :D

And the last one is i just love, it was on the same holiday as the second one, but we found this by hiring a car, and drove to all the villages, the places tourists don't normally see, and we found this tiny little beach, and that boat was there, and i just started shooting :D
