Which psu and case have you got rick.

Edit: just noticed antec 300, think it should be fine , as is your psu, corsairs are highly rated.

Nothing really beats that, although you can probe save a few ££ if you overclock yourself. But I'd just get the bundle personally.

i say the bundle is your best bet as well. all the components are the best your gonna get for the cash and they are all very highly rated.

on another, sling is a message if you want to sell some things :p

haha you are mad! Poured a lot of money into her recently, soon you'll be watercooling and pimping her :p
Wouldn't it be cheaper to overclock yourself? perhaps more enjoyable too?
I've never done it, half looking forward to it!

i thought about but not sure my q6600 was hard work at first, then just sitting here could i really get all that cheaper and get it to 4ghz

£24.78 cheaper not sure what else to look at really not getting much lists tonight

i want a change really and allways wanted to get to 4ghz like i say i seen that bundle and seems good it would future proof me for ages and my gaming and 3d work will flow along nicley:D

Go for the package then.. I doubt Ill be able to overclock mine that high, tis impressive...

I originally got specced a 650W to handle my rig, ours are very similar after you go i7..
Was recommended a bigger supply if ever wanted dual graphics cards, but that upgrade is a long way away.. especially since I bought a graphics card that isn't being made anymore :p

you was right when you said you was mad as your current computer is far from sluggish. if it's a case of "i need new toys" i'd personally go buy a decent case (fortress maybe) and some other little accessories to play with then upgrade when you REALLY need to plus then you'll have something nice to put your new toys in. Thats just my opinion tho, if you crave for speed then go for it my friend, good luck in whatever you choose to do (however it looks like your mind is already made up lol).

If you want to save some cash, is your current HS compatible with I7? Many companies offer a free/cheap I7 mounting plate which would get you in budget for an I7 build. I managed to recycle my old Zalman CNPS75870897somethingorrather for several seperate builds

i go for the bundle which seems a pretty good deal to be honest and also gettting my 2nd monitor as well which is the asus 22"

im sure my power supply can handle all this so thats not a problem and if i went for a 850w its out of stock anyway lol,

You may want to take a look at is the thread on the 4ghz bundle (in anticipation of your new purchase - I have ordered one as well, so looking forward to its arrival!)

FYI - The guy who was doing the overclocking on their had this to say in answer to this question:

I would also like to know what you would suggest, my current rig has a Corsair HX620 but im not sure that would be good enough.

In answer to the question above, I would reccomend a 650w corsair psu, and perhaps a 1gb 4870 or a 4890

I ended up going for the 1000HX. But by the sounds of it yours should be cool.
